Thanks to everyone who contributed to Mom & Dad's 60th birthday present. They'll be leaving for Washington DC on October 23rd. The first day they arrive, they'll spend the afternoon at the Holocaust Museum. The next 2 days will be spent on a tour of the DC area, including the various monuments, government buildings, Arlington Cemetary, George Washington's childhood farm, etc. They'll return the 26th. While in DC, they'll be staying at a hotel right by the Smithsonian. Here's some pictures of the album they received. We included a letter explaining their gift. The beginning of the album included pictures and wishes from loved ones and the rest was for them to put in their pictures from the trip. We wanted it to be a huge surprise (their birthdays are in March & May), so we waited to give it to them until now!
Grandma Farley helped up welcome our new friend Max, who protects our front porch. Madison was leary of him for a while, but now shows him to all our neighbors!
We finally started decorating for Halloween this weekend. (Note we did not remove the Packer Flag!!!). The kids had a great time decorating. The kids are excited for Halloween to come, not just because it's Tyler's 6th birthday, but they can't wait to dress up & trick or treat!
Hello All! So yes, I am not a faithful blogger. Life just gets sooo busy! I am going to try harder though! The kids have grown leaps and bounds. Here's Tyler at his preschool graduation. He's now in kindergarten (more pictures to follow) and loving it. He'd go seven days a week if he could. He loves his classmates and his teacher Mrs. Duwve. Maddie is enjoying her time with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays when Tyler is in school. She's no longer the quiet little girl we once had and is becoming a social butterfly just like Tyler. She sings constantly and still loves Dora and Diego. I love being a mom! I'm so proud of my little ones. Joel is now coaching Tyler's minimites hockey team and Maddie's still taking skating lessons. Soon she'll be starting hockey too. She's so funny. She's the smallest one in her class, but skates backward faster than the 5 year olds! She's so proud of her pink hockey laces!!! I'll have more to come and try not to download so many pictures at once. We miss you all!
